Our Histories

Maribeth Amber

“After 22 years of teaching art to children and adults in both public and private settings, I find myself with an Art Gallery & Healing space where I enjoy meeting and inspiring people to create and heal.”

Maribeth Amber attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, The Art Institute of Boston, MA, Temple University in Rome, Italy and received a BA from Framingham State University with a BA in Fine Arts and a minor in Art Education.

Distilling the still life into abstract compositions, I like to play with rhythm and movement and experiment with color as I weave subtle worlds into being.

Now living in Maine full time, I am driven to create on a daily basis. In the summers you will find me designing and planting in the garden, or collecting driftwood, while in late Autumn I’m ready to move inside to sculpt and paint. Photography by Aro Ha

“Childhood summers in Maine on the beach building castles in the sand have fueled my wonder and inspiration, especially the ocean and its ceaseless waves and the vast expanse of the nighttime sky.”
